Omagle Races - July 2009

What fun!

10 K Race

On the 24th of July, Katie, Paul, Josh, Anne (and Adrian), Brigham and Alexandra all completed the Deseret News 10K race in Salt Lake City. What an accomplishment! I am so proud of them all.

Summer with Adrian (and Josh and Anne)

We were happy to have Josh and Anne and Adrian live with us from May until August. Josh commuted with Joe to Salt Lake every day to clerk at the law firm of VanCott. It was a win for everyone, even me, because Joe needed to come home earlier!
Josh and Anne took Adrian on lots of adventures. Like this one where Anne was waiting for her turn to...

do this. What craziness!

Most of the time, however, they would just go for a walk up Rock Canyon and enjoy playing in the creek. Adrian loved it!

Josh and Anne loved to cook nutritious meals -- humongous salads. When Josh wasn't helping, he was entertaining!

It was wonderful to have them with us, especially to see Adrian grow from a crawling baby to a walking toddler.

How could you not pick up this child?

See you next summer Adrian!

Hanging out at the Homestead

July was a busy month as the family gathered and we prepared for Abby and Patrick's wedding. There was some down time, however, to just have a relaxing good time!

Here Grandpa and Andrew are launching a rocket!

Adrian actually turned one in June, but I don't know how to delete this photo. Anne made him a darling bear cake!

Benjamin and Andrew cool off in the kid's pool.

Provo Canyon was a fun place for Andrew and William to chill.

Peter got to explore Momo's house and get acquainted with Brigham Young.

Andrew and Grandpa worked together on the glider.

Rub a Dub Dub -- Three boys in the tub!

Claire liked the little pool, and so did Adrian until Claire dumped a pitcher of water on his head!

New Temple!

On Monday, July 27th, Paul and Sarah's family, Katie and Mom went on a tour of the soon to be dedicated Oquirreh Temple.
We got to ride in a golf cart from the parking lot to the orientation tent. The boys liked this!

Kate is one cute Auntie!

It was a memorable experience for all of us. It is a beautiful temple.

A Perfect (Wedding) Day!

Here comes the beautiful Bride and the handsome Groom! July 25, 2009

It is a joy to see our beautiful Abby so happy!

Andrew, Paul, Grandma, Alexandra and Will waiting for pictures on Temple Square.

It was great to have Michael there. It meant alot to Abby.

Patrick's Dad, Michel Montandon, provided a lovely Wedding luncheon at the LaCaille Restaurant. It was so beautiful there.

What a wonderful couple!

More pictures. Here is everyone (except Claire) getting ready for a new family portrait.

Patrick and Abby exchanged rings in the Garden Room at LaCaille.

The Cannon boys (Paul, Michael, Joshua and Brigham) and the oldest Grandson, Andrew.

Paul and Sarah had a romantic moment in the beautiful grounds.

Katie and Michael.

It was a beautiful setting, Abby and Patrick sang a cute song that they wrote.

It was special to have Grandma Cannon there to share our joy.

Aunt Abby loves her nephews.

What a sweet bride.

On to the garden reception in the backyard of the Riverwood Homestead.
We had lots of help from many people and it looked so lovely. The weather was warm but not too hot. Everyone was joyous!

Cute Kate!

Brigham, Alexandra, Andrew and William came all the way from Oakton, Virginia.

Paul, Sarah, Benjamin and Peter came from St. Louis, Missouri.

Joshua, Anne and Adrian were living with us over the summer, but have been living in Lexington, Virginia.

This was a great picture of Andrew - it rivals his Dad's haircut picture of many years ago.

The Ring of Fire at the conclusion of the Reception was Spectacular!

Cutting the cake -- especially exciting for Benjamin!

It was a perfect day!

Zion Trip - Happy Birthday Dad!

We did skits at the "cabin" about memories of Dad. Here Brigham, with the hat (meaning he was playing Dad) is upset about missing a plane in Hawaii!
We made s'mores in the backyard but had to do it before dark so the kids could get to bed on time!

Mom took care of the 5 grandboys and Claire while the young adults went on a slot canyon hike and Dad and Mike climbed Angel's Landing.

Josh and Anne on the "Keyhole" hike.

Claire and Katie waiting for everyone to meet up for a tour of Zions. Claire was not very enthusiastic about all the hiking but liked riding in the busses!

Our newlyweds, Abigail and Patrick were able to join us after their honeymoon. They had a great time in Midway staying at a bed and breakfast.

Michael was able to come as well. Cooling his feet in the Virgin River at the Zion Narrows.

Paul and his boys at the narrows.

Alexandra and Brigham with Andrew and William on the Narrow's Trail.

Here are the adventurers following their hike down the Keyhole slot canyon in Zion's Park. They had a great bonding time.

Aunties Katie and Abby with some of the cute grandboys.

Mom and Dad had a great time. What could be better than having all your chillins and grandchillins together. It was heavenly!

Here is everyone (except Josh and Anne and Adrian who came later that night) at Weeping Rock. It was such a great time.
